Sri Narasimha Jayanthi celebrated at Srimatam- 26 May 2010

Sri Narasimha Jayanthi was celebrated at Srimatam this evening (26 May 2010). On the occasion, special pujas were performed by His Holiness to Sri Narasimha Swamy.

Sri Narasimha Jayanthi was celebrated at Srimatam, Kanchipuram on 26th may 2010. Immediately after the third kala nitya puja to Sri Tripurasundari sametha Sri Chandramouleeswara Swamy, His Holiness Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji performed special pujas to Sri Narasimha Swamy in the immediate presence of His Holiness Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji during twilight, coinciding with the Avatara time of the Lord in the form of Narasimha.

Following the puja, parayanam was performed of the Avatara of Sri Narasimha Swami. After this, various stotras including the Lakshmi Narasimha Karavalamba Sotram were chanted with the participation of devotees. Nitya Deepa Puja followed. A large number of devotees participated in the puja and had the darshan and blessings of Sri Narasimhar and Sri Acharya Swamijis.

Mahaswami Jayanthi Celebrations begin

The 117th Jayanthi celebrations of Pujyasri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Mahaswamiji, the 68th Pontiff of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam commenced today. In the evening, immediately after the Narasimha Jayanthi celebrations, a Jalatharangam recital by Anayampatti Sri. S. Ganesan and party followed, in the presence of His Holiness Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji.
